Hi, I'm Nancy Caron, a natural forager at heart...

My best memories as child was running in fields, collecting leaves, flowers, and chewing on sap from pine trees until my teeth sticked! Foraging wild garlic and loving the earthy smell of food straight from nature. Getting my hands in the dirt, being under the sun, learning about different plants and their uses, and being able to implement them into my life has been my passion for a long time.

Growing our own food together...

We started a family in British Columbia, where we were eating organic food from our own garden, but gluten and dairy were still a part of our meals…
…and as a result, symptoms of disease started showing up; eczema, arthritis, hormone imbalance, leaky gut, and food allergies, which led to a weakened immune system.

I knew I had to refine the way we were eating I removed gluten and dairy and I started cooking from scratch to be able to control the ingredients I was using, substituting them with healthier options.
But I felt stuck…
I was limited- using the same few recipes because of our allergies…
I decided to learn the fundamental techniques to cooking so that I could make ANY meal using the ingredients I wanted & already had on hand!

Mastering the fundamentals allowed me to finally break free from recipes and make healthy food delicious again!

I realized that small changes can make a big difference in your health. My arthritis started to disappear, my son’s eczema cleared up, and my leaky gut got better.

This became my passion: teaching cooking skills to help people stick to a healthy diet

After getting certified as a Culinary Instructor, I started to share my knowledge through cooking classes at my son’s primary school in 2015, teaching kids about allergies, healthy eating habits, cooking with substitutions, knife skills, and meal preparation. The parents loved that their kids were able to help them in the kitchen and apply the skills they had learned at school.

After a breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, I realized that healthy eating is just one part of true health. It’s not just about removing toxic food, you have to remove toxic environments, toxic relationships, manage stress, get enough sleep, and learn what your body needs, which is what I was missing. True health cover all elements, from the emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects. I now approach health functionally, according to my body’s DNA, one step at a time. 
I calm my nervous system with herbs and breathwork, I sip on medicinal teas to heal my gut, I go for long walks to get grounded and move my lymphatic system, I detox regularly, I boost my immune system with medicinal mushrooms, and I finally feel more connected to who I am.
Sharing my health knowledge and cooking skills with my kids has been incredibly rewarding. When I needed it most, they cared for me with a delicious, nourishing meal.

It warms my heart to see them confidently cook what ever they want without a recipe! We take turns creating flavorful dishes, experimenting with new ingredients and flavors without worry, knowing we’ve mastered the skills and techniques to turn each meal into satisfying and enjoyable experience!

Minimize the toxins and processed ingredients in your food by cooking it yourself!
Toxins are everywhere, from our makeup to our laundry soap, from our cookware to the food on our plate, from a negative co-worker to an abusive boss- the list is endless. We all need to detox some areas of our lives so we can live a more fulfilled life. I am sharing with you here all the ways I have included in my routine to heal from an autoimmune disease and still enjoy delicious and healthy food. while creating my own recipes to retain the nutritional value without the toxic way of cooking.
